Menopause Naturally!!
By Dr. Narinder Saini M.D.

Regular, weight-bearing exercise
such as walking, running or cycling will help elevate your mood, help keep calcium in your bones, reduce the risk of heart disease and reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Many herbs and natural plant components play an important role in controlling the hormones that give rise to menopausal symptoms. Estrogens form plant sources are very much weaker than human estrogens, yet they bind with the estrogen receptor sites within the body, exerting a balancing effect.

Black Cohosh is a rich source of plant estrogens. This plant was used by the American Indians, and later by the colonists, to relieve menstrual cramps and symptoms of menopause. Clinical trials have demonstrated that Black Cohosh relieves hot flashes, lessens depression, and helps prevent vaginal atrophy.

Soy Isoflavones such as Genistein and daidzin are powerful plant estrogens which have been shown to reduce the risk of certain forms of breast cancer, reduce the chances of heart disease, help prevent osteoporosis and reduce the incidence of hot flashes.
Professor of Nutrition, Susan Potter, Ph.D., from the University of Illinois. studied soy's potential to prevent calcium-loss. The group receiving the most soy Isoflavones (at least 30 grams a day of soy products) actually increased their bone density by 3 percent, while bone density of other groups decreased slightly.

Dong Quai is another rich source of plant estrogens which bind with estrogen receptor sites in the body when estrogen levels are low. Many women have found Don Quai particularly effective in helping reduce the intensity and frequency of hot flashes.
