  • This represents enough pumped blood to fill a bath tub 22 times.
  • By age 70, your heart will have pumped about 270 million liters of blood.

Who is at Risk for Heart Disease?

You are at increased risk for heart disease if:
  • You are a male over the age of 40.
  • You are a post-menopausal female.
  • You lead a "high-stress" lifestyle.
  • You have a family history of heart disease. You eat a high-fat , high sugar diet.
  • You do not exercise regularly.
  • You smoke.
