Healthy Heart Recipes


Fresh Cabbage and Tomato Salad 1 small head cabbage, sliced thinly
2 medium tomatoes, cut in cubes
1 C sliced radishes
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil ( cold pressed,Extra Virgin)
2 Tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
In a large bowl, mix together the cabbage, tomatoes, and radishes.In another bowl, mix together the rest of the ingredients and pour over the vegetables. Yield: 8 servings — Serving size: 1 cup

Total fat: 1 g
Saturated fat: Less than 1 g
Cholesterol: 0 mg
